Terms of Engagement Agreement

 

This agreement confirms the terms of engagement for service between: the service provider [EDITOR’S NAME] of [COMPANY NAME] residing at [EDITOR’S ADDRESS] and the client [YOUR NAME] residing at [YOUR ADDRESS.]

 

  1. The following services will be provided to the client by the service provider:
  2. [TYPE OF EDIT] for [TITLE OF YOUR BOOK], including:
    1. Confirmation of receipt of a version of [TITLE OF YOUR BOOK] to be edited, as provided by the client. The confirmation of receipt being sent by the service provider to the client via at least one of: the internet, fax, and United States Postal Service, or a substitute method of delivery as agreed to by both the service provider and the client.
    2. Transmission of a [TYPE OF EDIT] version of [TITLE OF YOUR BOOK] to the client. The [TYPE OF EDIT] version of [TITLE OF YOUR BOOK] being sent by the service provider to the client via at least one of: the internet, fax, and United States Postal Service, or a substitute method of delivery as agreed to by both the service provider and the client.
  • Estimated time frame for delivery of [TYPE OF EDIT] version of [TITLE OF YOUR BOOK] is [AGREED UPON TIME FRAME] from receipt date of the version of [TITLE OF YOUR BOOK] to be edited.
  1. Delivery of [TYPE OF EDIT] version of [TITLE OF YOUR BOOK] to occur post payment of fees as outlined in Article “B” hereinafter.

 

  1. Fees payable to Brain to Books by the client via PayPal for the services listed in Article “A” will be:

  1. Termination by the client of ongoing services
    1. Termination of ongoing services requires payment before the contract is ended, by both parties of any money owed the other, calculated by the work completed and money paid.
    2. Postponement by either party may occur for unexpected health reasons and emergencies. In the case of postponement, a mutual agreement upon arrangement to continue the project at the earliest time will be negotiated.

 

The signatures below of both the service provider and the client activate this agreement and the terms and conditions outlined above shall become binding upon both parties
